This 2 oz jar of medium blue underglaze offers rich, opaque coverage that can be applied to greenware, bisque, or mature clay bodies. The creamy consistency makes it easy to brush, sponge, or stencil on surfaces for detailed designs or all-over color.

Once dry, the underglaze can be left unglazed for a matte finish or coated with a clear glaze for a glossy, translucent effect. AMACO Velvet Underglazes are non-toxic, lead-free, and food-safe when covered with a dinnerware-safe clear glaze. Perfect for classrooms, pottery studios, and professional ceramic artists alike, these underglazes maintain brilliant color from low to high-fire ranges (Cone 05 to Cone 10).
